Jackie Robinson, #42,Cooperstown Authentic Collection Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey, 100% Wool + Dodgers Ticket, 50th Anniversary of Robinson (1919-1972) Robinson became the first African American to play Major League Baseball when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. Cementing his legacy, Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. From the Cooperstown Authentic Collection by Mitchell & Ness, a 1955-styled Brooklyn Dodgers jersey with # 42 size XL. No paper tags
Know this jersey was used in a display, and as it is 100% wool, there are just at 20 tiny moth bites scattered mostly on the back side. This is why Cooperstown Authentic Collection moved to 80% Wool and 20% Nylon. Not a deal breaker but they are there at close examination. Also this jersey does not have Jackie Robinson embroidered on shirt tail. Obviously this is an early or first year issue from the Cooperstown Collection for the jersey has also toned a bit which gives it a very vintage look. Displays fine.

Paired with the jersey is a June 17, 1997 Dodgers Vs Angels ticket which has printed on stub, "Dodgers 'Jackie Robinson" 1947-1997 50th Anniversary, with full ticket stub in excellent condition cleanly torn at perforation. Estimated Value $150 - UP

Realized $92
