1926 World Series Ticket Game 7 Ticket Stub, Yankees over the Cardinals, Their 1st Championship, Babe Ruth Tagged Out Trying to Steal Second. Rare 1926 World Series Game 7 ticket stub, the NY Yankees Vs the St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium, General Admission, Bleachers, Unreserved, Number 8582. The Cardinals won in the best of 7 games when Rogers Hornsby tagged out Babe Ruth trying to steal second base. This was the first championship for the St. Louis Cardinals. The series is also notable due to a press fueled story between Babe Ruth and a kid named Johnny Sylvester who was injured in a horse fall. He received a signed ball by Ruth that promised "to hit him a homer on Wednesday" (Game 4) and indeed Ruth hit 3 homers and Sylvester, as reported by press, miraculously recovered. Always print the legend.

Condition: Ticket retains bright colors and minor evidence of handling. It has been long displayed in presentation frame (included) but it appears for visual appeal, the card was trimmed evenly where torn at the park. Ticket measures just at 4 x 2¼" inches. Facing side is very clean with the text sharp, the verso displays a hint of paper lift where trimmed, but helpful in examining the vintage paper stock. Still a great piece from this very notable final game of the 1926 World Series. Estimated Value $600 - UP

Realized $394
