Roman, ca. 2nd Century AD, Agate and Gold Pendant. Large semi translucent pale blue fragmented oval agate relief of a Roman empress (possibly Faustina Jr. wife of Marcus Aurelius ca. 145 AD). Chip missing but not effecting the lovely portrait and all set into an ancient 20K gold encasement mount. Size: 33 mm x 37 mm, Weight: 15.0 grams. Estimated Value $500 - UP
