Van, Buren Martin, Millard Fillmore and Senator Daniel Webster Signed Pieces. Two signature by former US Presidents and one Senator. 1.) Original publication of a speech by the Hon. Martin Van Buren (1782-1862) of the Senate, on the act to carry into effect the act of 13th April, 1819, of Daniel D. Tompkins, governor of New York from 1807-1817 concerning the settlement of the governor's accounts. 37 pp., 9¼ x 6" in heavily toned but intact, supple condition. Affixed to cover is a clipped signature by Van Buren heavily toned but certainly legible. 2.) Millard Fillmore has signed on verso a leather bound single board 8½ x 5" from a destroyed book in pencil. Notation discretely written in top left corner indicates from his library. Book cover is not cracked, that is a scratch running through his last name. Signature is very legible, executed in pencil and it appears the scratch was present before signing. 3.) Daniel Webster, Secretary of State to Millard Fillmore, published speech 9¼ x 6". 24 pp delivered in the Senate September 1, 1848 on the issue of the extension of slavery which he felt should be left to the newly acquired states even though he himself anti-slavery. Very fine condition with some minor damp staining with a clipped signature "Daniel Webster US Senate" affixed to front. Estimated Value $600 - UP
