Kennedy, John Fitzgerald: Typed Letter #1 Signed as Congressman from Massachusetts Regarding a Request by a Constituent to The Civil Service (1917-1963) Typed letter signed by John Kennedy, 1 page, 9 x 6¼" dated September 14, 1950 as the Congressman of the 11th District of Massachusetts on official letterhead. There are three separate letters by Kennedy in this auction regarding an Irma Rossman seeking employment within the Civil Service in this auction. This is the first from the collection.
Kennedy is responding to a female constituent's desire to be employed as a Research Psychologist at the US Naval Submarine Base in Connecticut, based on the interest and direct request to Kennedy by a Mr. Joseph Kane of Boston. Kennedy writes that he personally has contacted the US Civil Service Board of Examiners and will be in touch with her when he receives a report from the office. Near to mint condition with Kennedy signing in black fountain pen ink and the original envelope included. Estimated Value $900 - UP
