Lot 213

1875-S 50C PCGS MS66. PCGS graded MS-66. CAC. The obverse and reverse are bathed in lovely toning with mint fresh luster evident in the fields. The surfaces are worthy of long and pleasurable examination as so few of these exist so well preserved and this is borne out in the Population Report data noted herein. Merely 3,000 examples are estimated to have survived and this one is right at the top with just a few seen marginally finer. Amazing quality for the numismatist with an eye for quality. Pop 20; 5 finer, 3 in 66+, 2 in 67 (PCGS # 6351) Estimated Value $4,000 - UP
