Constantinople, 1005-1025. + IhS XIS REX REςNantihM; Bust of Christ Pantocrator facing, wearing cruciform nimbus with annulets in upper quarters, pallium, and colobium, raising right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels. Reverse: + bASIL E CohStAhtIh R; Crowned facing busts of Basil, bearded, wearing loros and being crowned from above by manus Dei, and Constantine, beardless, wearing chlamys, holding long cross between them. DOC 6; SB 1800. Quite scarce. NGC Photo certificate grade AU; Strike: 5/5, Surface: 2/5. Wrinkled, marks. Our grade is Sharpness of Extremely Fine with marks about the rims and possibly polished at one time. Estimated Value $400 - UP
