Italian Porcelain Figure. 20th century. Height: 22". Gypsy boy figure with umbrella, extraordinary detail. Marked on base with "Carpie" and a device featuring the letters "C P" over an "N". Made with such detail that individual leaves and blades of grass are distinguishable One botanic detail at gypsy's feet is missing and several individual blades of grass are missing their tips, otherwise fine condition.
A jaunty pose and the attention to every detail almost makes it seem as if this lounging boy could straighten up and stroll away.
