Lot 825
French Hand-Painted Box. 5¾ x 2", porcelain with metal hinge and trim. Burgundy with floral and gold foliate accents. Bottom marked with Sevres-type mark with "S" in center, "France" and "Hand Painted"; may be from Samson & Co, Paris. Gold decoration shows very minor wear at front of box below clasp, adhesive residue on base. The interior is decorated with small flowers inside the lid and base and shows one burst bubble and small area of abrasion. Overall, very good condition.
A charming bibelot for the boudoir or living area.
