Arsall Cameo Glass Vase. Height: 8". Acid-cut green blossoms and leaves on light pink background, signed in cameo. Minor evidence of use inside neck, one very small area of abrasion visible on close examination of leaves. Else, fine condition.
French cameo glass came into its own in the late 19th century and flourished through the Art Nouveau period: the gorgeous Art Nouveau styling and wonderful colors that distinguish this signed vase are a signature of that time. Although Arsall is not so well known as glassmakers Gallé or Daum Nancy, his glass is equally beautiful and becoming more and more popular with collectors.
