Dick Underwood Massive Collection of 1250 8x10 Color Images from Numerous Shuttle Flights Most Red Serial Numbered/Lettered NASA Prints (1927-2011) Richard "Dick" Underwood was chief engineer on the production of the first topographic maps of the moon. He was the first person to view every photograph from the Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz and the first 23 space shuttle missions. He also provided technical training to every astronaut who went into space in the twentieth century. From Underwood's collection 1250+ 8 x 10" photos from the early Shuttle missions. The great majority are red numbered and lettered NASA prints with no press or publicity information on verso. The majority are brilliant, vivid images and they do impress. There are duplicates through out, nevertheless boasting such diverse images of the program including many with crew member photos. But the overwhelming value of this collection are the astounding images taken in space. Also there are photographs with red tape having notations made by Underwood.
