Apollo 11: Neil Armstrong Signed Splash Down and Mobile Quarantine Facility Diagram + 3 Covers: Launch, Landing & Recovery W/Date Cancels. Apollo 11, the flight that first landed humans on the moon. Unusual steps were taken upon their return which was the quarantine of the crew along with Flight Surgeon William Carpentier and Mechanical Engineer, John Hirasaki who handled the lunar rocks brought back by Apollo 11. Basically a modified Air Stream, the unit was already aboard the USS Hornet and then flown to Houston to assuage fears of some lunar contagion. These steps are laid out in six panels printed on a a 7 x 6¼" sheet. Neil Armstrong has signed in green fine point pen and it is exceptionally clean and bold. LOA by Steve Zarelli Space Authentication. A terrific Neil Armstrong signed piece that is not only unusual but presents beautifully.
