Archive of 275 70mm Glass Slides from the Dick Underwood Collection (1927-2011) Richard "Dick" Underwood was chief engineer on the production of the first topographic maps of the moon. He was the first person to view every photograph from the Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz and the first 23 space shuttle missions. He also provided technical training to every astronaut who went into space in the twentieth century.
Collection of 275, 70mm glass slides from the personal archive of Dick Underwood. Slides range from Gemini to ASTP and quite diverse. On the whole the collections contain striking images of the Earth, moon, astronauts, training exercises, diagrams, maps, images captured by astronauts during flight, command and lunar module photos, the lunar surface and much more. A handful of slides may have stress cracks but the images are sound.
Each collection comes with an LOA from the family. Estimated Value $500 - UP
