Two Early NASA Artifacts; Gemini -Titan V (GT-5) Flown Checklist Manual Page Grid plus a Scarce Pin Section from the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. Two unusual pieces from some of the earliest days of NASA and the Cape. 1.) From the Gemini program, GT-5, with Gordon Cooper and Pete Conrad on board in August of 1965 for nearly 8 days. From Conrad's re-entry flight manual, a full page grid measuring 1 ¾x 1¾" that was clipped from a page of 24 grids that flew on GT-5. Conrad's manual was acquired by Havekotte in 1994 and these segments have allowed other collectors to enjoy a piece of flown history. Also an 8 x 10" vintage color litho is included of both astronauts. 2.) At the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station sits an historic lighthouse. Found on the site when the lighthouse was moved further inland in 1868 a door hinge pin was found. The pin was divided into only 20 pieces. This is one of the 20 segments and comes on an informative LOA by William Dickerson about this history of this beautiful lighthouse. Estimated Value $150 - UP
