Kennedy, Ted, Ethel Kennedy and Miscellaneous Political Ephemera. Ted Kennedy TLS, one-page, on U.S. Senate letterhead, Aug. 15, 1974, to Buddy Hackett, regretting that he cannot be at the Friars Club tribute to Johnny Carson. Ethel Kennedy TLS, one page, on Hickory Hill letterhead, Oct. 1971, to actress Joan Crawford, thanking her for flowers ("I can understand why you are a legend"). With holograph salutation and closing. Muriel Humphrey, TLS, one page, on personal stationery, Nov. 20, 1968, telling Mr. Lynch, "The Vice President and I were happy to autograph the picture you sent." Also, a one-page ALS by Harriet S. Blaine, daughter of statesman James G. Blaine, to Senator Francis Cockrell (a former Confederate Brig. Gen.), n.d. (pre 1905) saying it was important that she see him. These items are all in fine condition. Additionally, a group of inaugural ephemera--programs, invitations, etc., primarily for Eisenhower, but also Kennedy and Nixon, as well as Reagan as governor; condition is about very good.
