Vintage Original, Thematic Apperception Test Set (1943) by Henry Murray, MD and the Staff of the Harvard Psychological Clinic, Very Scarce. The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) was a "method devised for trained interpreters to assess the dominant drives, emotions, sentiments, complexes and conflicts of personality" which was created and published in 1943 by Dr. Henry Murray and the Harvard Psychological Clinic. A patient was shown one of the cards and was instructed to tell stories about them on the spur of the moment. A full compliment of these stories revealed much about the conscious and unconscious. Most everyone is familiar with the earlier published Rorschach Test but TAT proved a more comprehensive evaluation of mind disorders. In original folio with images printed on heavy card stock numbered and lettered on verso for ID purposes. Also included is the original 20 page manual. In excellent condition. Estimated Value $250 - UP

Realized $120
