Coca-Cola 1937 Calendar "The Fishing Hole" by N.C. Wyeth in Excellent Condition. The first known Coca-Cola calendar was issued by the company in 1891, but by the first decade of the 20th Century, the company copyrighted stunning images of beautiful models and entertainers, and in the 1930s, illustrations by some of America's greatest artists. Antique calendars are some of the most prized treasures by collectors due to how rare most are and certainly how beautiful. From 1937, N.C. Wyeth's idealistic look at a young boy, his faithful companion, a couple of bottles of Coca-Cola and off he goes to his favorite fishing hole. Calendar measures 24 x 12", fully intact with pad and metal strip and in excellent condition. We note only a dime size area of bumps at far left border in clouds that is barely visible. Otherwise, this example is outstanding, boasting stunning colors. A fine addition for any level of collector. Shrink wrapped on foam core. Estimated Value $300 - UP
From The Private Collection of James Harrison Ring.
