Coca-Cola Scarce 1910 "The Coca-Cola Girl" Calendar, Displays Beautifully. The first known Coca-Cola calendar was issued by the company in 1891, but by the first decade of the 20th Century the company copyrighted stunning images of popular, beautiful models and entertainers and enlisted some of the finest stone lithography printers in the nation. Antique calendars are some of the most prized treasures by collectors due to how rare most are and certainly how beautiful. From 1910, "The Coca-Cola Girl" is one of the most recognizable of all the early 20th Century calendars, boasting beautiful artwork by acclaimed illustrator, Hamilton King. The image is as vivid as the day it was printed and displays beautifully. However, we note a ¾" trim to the bottom of the image which removed the "Copyright by Coca-Cola" and "Published by Wolf & Co." Clearly this calendar was sent to a professional paper conservator as the trim and three discrete touch-ups to soft creases in the image were exquisitely executed. Note also only the month of June remains of the pad and no metal strips. 16¾ x 8¾" nicely matted and framed in gilt wood to 22½ x 14½".

Estimated Value $500 - UP
From The Private Collection of James Harrison Ring.
