Coca-Cola Rare 1909 "Exhibition Girl" Calendar in Fine Condition. The first known Coca-Cola calendar was issued by the company in 1891. But by the first decade of the 20th Century the company copyrighted stunning images of popular, beautiful models and entertainers and enlisted some of the finest printers using stone lithography in the nations. Antique calendars are some of the most prized treasures by collectors due to how rare most are and certainly how beautiful. From 1909 the rare "Exhibition Girl" seated at a table overlooking an illuminated cityscape with gondolas and illuminated boats in the water, lanterns strung above. In overall very fine condition, calendar image is strikingly bold with colors exhibiting no fading. Examined in frame, calendar appears to be professionally mounted on acid free, sky blue mat. It still has the original thin metal strip (minus tiny round hanger) with the image itself having only the slightest ripples within the paper. The red borders on left and right are in remarkable condition with only a few flecks and a single tiny tear that does not extend into image. Bottom red border has been irregularly trimmed 1/8th of an inch. Single calendar sheet from September 1909 is tucked just under image, with no staples. Calendar measures 20 x 11" and framed to 24 x 15" in gilt wood under glass. Very scarce and highly prized. Estimated Value $1,200 - UP
