Two (2) Hires Root Beer Round Serving Trays, Early 20th Century; "Hires To Your Health" & "Josh Slinger". Two large Hires Root Beer serving trays 1.) "Hires To Your Health" boy in blue tin serving tray, Chas. W. Shonk Co. Litho, Chicago, ca. 1905. 13½ x 13½ x 1" and in good condition. Tray exhibits scratches, minor areas of oxidation around edge and some paint loss. But colors remain vivid and tray still displays nicely. 2.) "Just what the Doctor ordered" copyright 1914 Charles E. Hires Co. 13 x 13 x ¾". Wide-eyed soda-jerk, Josh Slinger, holding glass of root beer in fair to good condition. Faded lithography, discoloration, staining and chipping of paint to tray's edge nevertheless both trays scarce and collected. Estimated Value $100 - UP
