Thomas Edison "GEM" ca. 1902 Key Wind Player with Three Edison Cylinder Records. Early Edison "GEM" player. GEM clearly visible in gold as well as Thomas A. Edison trade mark on panel just below the horn. Back of player has the plate that has Manufactured Under The Patents of Thomas A. Edison, Orange N.J. USA and lists all the patent numbers as well as the serial number of this particular player G6 1271. Mechanism turns motor but needs belt replacement to turn cylinder. Nevertheless displays beautifully. Oak wood cabinet base and cover in very good condition. Horn is 11" long and 4" in diameter at its widest. Three Edison cylinder records come with player.
