King Silk Sushu Embroidery Silk Art Landcape From Their Masterworks Collection: "The Carved Door". Sushu is a traditional folk art originated in China with a history spanning 2500 years. In 2004 King's Silk Embroidery opened in Kitchener, Ontario Canada, the founder himself whose family had its roots in Suzhou, China, one of the most famous Chinese cities known for its silk and expanding his company into quite the family affair. Offered is one of the company's silk art landscapes from their masterworks collection entitled "The Carved Door". Six to seventeen layers of silk of 4/16 strands of silk are used to create this work taking anywhere from three to five months boasting beautiful colors of Chinese red, pink, yellow green, white umber and taupe threads. Handsomely framed to 25 x 25" and in excellent condition. Beautiful work. Estimated Value $100 - UP
