Collection of 12 Miniature Works of Art, Mid-Century Modern, Scenic and Portrait Sketch Including Alexandra Exter and Chaim Gross. Collection of 12 miniature works of art the largest being 10 x 7". Several standouts: 1.) a small work by Alexandra Exter (1882-1949) who lived in France and the Russian Federation who specialized in art deco constructivist painting whose works can command thousands of dollars and displayed in galleries worldwide. Ink and colors on paper 8 x 4¾" and signed in pencil in lower right corner. 2.) Chaim Gross (1994-1901) Austrian/Poland then America, Gross is well known for sculpture and his abstract illustrative works with a gallery/museum located in the Village in New York. A pencil drawing on paper of fantastical bird-like figures with human form that is quite striking 8 x 8". 3.) Beautiful watercolor on board by artist Streitman of a lighthouse in ink and watercolor that uses only two colors yet still conveying the full beauty of a coastal scene. On board 10 x 7". 4.) Watercolor in vivid colors of Jewish men going to temple, an almost impressionist approach of something so very familiar. On paper 9½ x 4½".
