Arne Westerman. Wall Street. (1927) Portland, Oregon watercolorist known for his street paintings, portraits and interiors. Winner of multiple awards, published in countless magazines and books of his own works. One of the best examples we have seen of his watercolors is this bustling, sunny and enormously appealing work entitled "Wall Street". For anyone who is familiar with Manhattan in the prime time of the work week can recognize this picture that perfectly capture of the Financial District, with transit bus displaying Wall Street. A large, spectacular piece, this work has proven one of the favorites in this auction. Watercolor on paper, 26 x 38" unframed, but recently matted and shrink wrapped in preparation for auction to 34 x 46". Signed in lower left corner and dated 1988. Estimated Value $1,250 - UP
