Manson, Charles Milles. "Untitled X 2". (1934-2017) American criminal, cult leader and emblem of insanity, violence, and the macabre. Manson also became a pop culture touchstone for 50 years through books, music and film which continues even today with ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. But another aspect of Manson is that he was an artist and painted while incarcerated (sometimes referred to as death row art) Offered are two works in watercolor and markers on Crescent board both 15 x 20. Both are simple abstractions the have remained as a pair for years. The yellow and red piece has a faint "X" through it in pencil ending in arrows pointing at nothing. This work is signed "Charles Milles Manson, the "M" of Milles being carried down to the "S" in Manson which is not often seen. The greenish abstraction is signed in by Manson in his usual crossed "S".
