Kosa, Emil. "Goats in Ojai". (1903-1968) Immensely talented and very well regarded French born artist who studied while abroad but came to California spending 35+ years working for 20th Century Fox as a special effects artist (back drops, title art, scenic plates) and actually won an Oscar for his work on CLEOPATRA in 1963. But through his whole life he painted in various styles both in oil and watercolor capturing every landscape possible of California. He especially found great appeal in the old farms and homes throughout the state capturing capturing horses and livestock. He exhibited as early as 1940 at LACMA as well as numerous other museums.
