Bobby Jones: Legendary Golfer of the 1920s and 1930s. Signed Letter Dated July 18, 1932 (1902-1971) Legendary golfer and true gentleman of the sport who helped design the Augusta National Golf Club and co-founded the Masters Tournament. Jones is one of the few historic figures whose autograph is valued significantly higher if it is vintage rather than modern. Here he is fulfilling a request dated 1932 by a young woman who has expressed her great appreciation for the golf "talkies" or shorts he narrates prior to movies being shown at theaters across the US and has asked for his signature. He complies and his signature is quite bold executed in steel point fountain pen blue ink. Superior condition and scarce. Estimated Value $400 - UP
From The Collection of Alden T. Barnes.
