MAD Magazine: Full Suite of Five Illustrated Panels by Dave Berg "The Lighter Side of Physical Fitness" from 1979 (1920-2002) Beloved American illustrator and cartoonist known for his celebrated career at MAD magazine after contributing to several comic books in the 1940s including two years with Stan Lee at Timely Comics (now known as Marvel Comics.) Berg contributed to Mad for 46 years beginning in 1957 until his death, appearing in 368 issues. Panels are 24½ x 18½" with three panels having four strips and two having three. All of the strips skewer exercising, gym rats, diets and appearance. One hilarious strip of Dave Berg himself boasting how tough his stomach muscles are only to find not necessarily true. All the panels are in excellent condition and display beautifully. All signed Berg, 1969 and numbered 1-5 of 5. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
