Eldon Dedini; Original Illustration for New Yorker Magazine, Inscribed, Signed and Gifted to Political Stand Up Comedian, Mort Sahl. Original New Yorker Magazine panel by celebrated illustratror, Eldon Dedini (1921-2006) whose single panel cartoons appeared in Esquire, Playboy and New Yorker Magazine and are now very prized and collected. Oversized, original illustration 17 x 13" in wax pencil, ink and gouache of two politicians in the shadow of the Capitol Building fretting over what Mort Sahl might say. Sahl was one of the most brilliant political stand-up comedians and satirists of the 20th Century achieving great acclaim in the 1960s. Further this illustration was then gifted to Mort Sahl by Dedini who inscribed and signed "To Mort Sahl who watches over us all….My Best Wishes, Eldon Dedini." In excellent condition, very well archived for over 50 years. Estimated Value $500 - UP
