Crumb, Robert Dennis: Four Signed Lithographs (1943-) Beloved and influential comic book artist and illustrator who contributed some of the most iconic works of the "underground comix" era of the 1960s such as Fritz the Cat and Mr. Invisible. A friend of comic book writer Harvey Pekar, Crumb illustrated over 30 stories of Pekar's in the award-winning comic book series "American Splendor," and whose life was memorably brought to the screen in the film by the same name. Signing his work as R. Crumb, he has illustrated album art to date 17 times. He also illustrated the cover art for Jonathan Shaw's celebrated memoir, "Scab Vendor: Confessions of a Tattoo Artist.
Lithographs are approximately 12 x 9¼" and in excellent condition. Estimated Value $600 - UP
