Buck Rogers Collection: 11 Cast Iron TootsieToys, 3 Die Cast Figures w/Booklet, And. TootsieToys were immensely popular toys pre-WWII and were simple diecast metal (zinc allow, tin, lead) toys. They produced small pieces for Cracker-Jacks, and made the game pieces for Monopoly. But one of their most successful line of toys was for the comic series and film serials of Buck Rogers. These began in the late 1930s and sold individually or in sets. Collection of 11 of these collectible diecast TootsieToys: 3 Flash Blast Attack Ships, 3 Venus Duo Destroyers, 4 Battle Cruisers. Also included are three lead cast figures: Buck Rogers, Wilma and Killer Kane very nicely hand painted. Remarkably one could buy these moulds and cast your own lead figures from Rappaport Bros. and their original pamphlet is included. Finally from British illustrator Jack Follows an excellent collection of 6 Buck Rogers hand painted covers and one Flash Gordon that are indeed fantastic, colorful and original works of art celebrating this early 20th Century adventure comics.
