Original, Production Used Clapperboard for KILLER RULES and AGAINST THE GRAIN. A clapperboard is a device used in filmmaking and video production to assist in synchronizing of picture and sound, and to designate and mark the various scenes and takes as they are filmed. Classic slate and chalk clapperboards have long been a very recognizable symbol (now emoji) for Hollywood. But as film technology advanced so did the clapperboard and most modern production use boards with electronic time codes and the like. This original, production used clapboard is from the 1993 made for television crime action film starring Sela Ward, which was directed by Robert Ellis Miller (Oscar nominated REUBEN, REUBEN and HAWKS), cinematography by veteran Ennio Guarnieri. Clapboard has been professionally shadow-boxed and displays beautifully. 18 x 18 x 2¼". A partial second and unframed clapperboard is included from the television series about Texas Football in 1993-94, AGAINST THE GRAIN. This is a more modern clapper that is digitally time coded. This is just the face that is mounted on the tablet with details of the director and cameraman, but still has the clapper attached. Estimated Value $300 - UP
