True FIRST EDITION, with the Scribner's "A" printed on the copyright page. Dust jacket intact but in fair to good condition with paper loss to top of jacket spine, internal water stains and chipping. However the book is in much better condition with original tan cloth covered boards in very clean condition, the book square and firm with only very light wear on the red panels with black type along the spine. The pages are clean with no marks or bookplates. A nice example and a fine addition to any library. Estimated Value $900 - UP
