40 Excellent Vintage Original Fred Harvey Hotel/Cafe Postcards from 1930s-1940s plus 1949 Colorado Historical Society on Fred Harvey. Collection of 40 excellent, prized, Fred Harvey Hotel and Restaurant postcards from the 1930s-40s. A wide variety of images, mostly of the Grand Canyon and Southwest, but also includes trains that stopped at his locations, some images of his better known hotels and some of Hopi Indians. All measure 3½ x 5½", 39 are pristine and printed on linen-finished card stock and one smooth finished and was the only one ever mailed. Lot also includes a July, 1949 edition of The Colorado Magazine, published by The State Historical Society of Colorado which has an excellent profile on Fred Harvey and his empire. Also note the film THE HARVEY GIRLS was based on Fred Harvey hotels. Estimated Value $150 - UP
