Puccini, Giacomo; Acclaimed Italian Composer Handwritten Letter Dated 1905 Written on His Residential Letterhead. Amusing Content (1858-1924) Giacomo Antonio Domenico Michele Secondo Maria Puccini is arguably the greatest Italian romantic opera composer behind Verdi. He composed such masterpieces as Tosca, La Bohème, Madame Butterfly, La Fanciulla del West and Turandot. Offered is an autograph letter signed by Puccini in Italian from his residential address in Milan, Italy. Letter is dated Oct. 5, 1907 and executed in black fountain pen ink. In this letter, Puccini responds to a letter of "mischief done to my Manon" (Manon Lescaut). "I wish that these terrible performances will end and that all echoes scatter. Thank you for your regards and friendship to me. Greetings G. Puccini" Letter measures 10 x 6½" and is matted and framed with a photo to 15 x 18" in gilt gold and red wood frame.
