Donizetti, Gaetano; Leading Italian Composer of the Early 19th Century, Handwritten and Signed Letter on Personal Stationery (1797-1848) Prolific Italian composer of acclaimed works including Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Pasquale, Roberto Devereux and L'elisir D'amore as well as his music selected for Abraham Lincoln's funeral march. Embossed monogrammed paper "GD" Donizetti has written in Italian with letter undated and executed in black fountain pen ink. Letter invites recipient for coffee. Letter is 7 x 5", framed and matted with engraving to 13 x 17¾ in fine gilt wood frame. Excellent condition. Estimated Value $500 - UP
