Nadar - Gaspar-Félix Tournachon, Rare Autograph Letter Signed by 19th Century Balloonist and Celebrated Photographer (1820-1910) Known by the pseudonym Nadar, Tournachon was a French photographer, caricaturist, journalist, novelist, balloonist, and early proponent of flight. Nadar also photographed brilliantly some of the most celebrated notables, politicians, artists, stage actors and writers in France including Balzac, Sarah Bernhardt, Franz Lizt, Dumas and Émile Zola. Nadar writes on a monogrammed note card to a friend for intervening on his behalf with a Mme. Ballrec and profusely expresses his gratitude and kindness and signs as Nadar.
