Napoleonic 8-page Document Folio, December 5, 1809, mentioning "Right of protection payable by a Jew named 'Kirk'. Designation of taxable goods. A beautifully written Napoleonic survey of all traditional taxes, fees and other payments collected annuallly in the German (Austrian) district of Isunbagen, then under Napoleon's occupation. The agents of the French Intendant General worked so carefully as to even note "Right of protection payable in April by a Jew named 'Kirk' averaging per year 6 thalers". Excellent condition.
