1795. Overton-103, Rarity 5. NGC graded AU-50. Even toning on both sides. This coin is likely the 3rd finest for this variety and tied with just one other at the level. The strike is sharp with full separation on Liberty's curls on the obverse and full wing feathers on the reverse. It is identifiable by a short scratch above ST of STATES on the reverse which confirms this is from the famed Robert P Hilt, II Collection sold by Heritage in 2015. Not only is this one of the finest of the die variety, but its a high grade 1795 half dollar by any measure. Collectors have to search long and hard to find a coin this well preserved of this type.
