Lot 418

1832 N-3 R1 Large Letters NGC graded MS63 Brown. Very attractive frosty medium brown and chocolate with peeps of golden tan faded down from mint color in some of the protected areas. The fields are lustrous and this cent has choice mint state eye appeal in spite of a touch of rub on the highest points of the devices. Nearly void of marks; a tiny diagonal nick on the jaw may help identify this cent. MDS with fine radial die flowlines on both sides. There is some doubling on the forehead, nose, lips, and chin (from die bounce or "machine doubling.") Our grade is AU55. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. NGC population 3; 9 finer: 5 in 64, 3 in 65, 1 in 65+. Estimated Value $450 - UP
Ex Douglas F. Bird-Bob Willoughby Collection.
