Lot 414

1826 N-1 R2 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty tan and light brown. Sharply struck with full radial lines in all the stars, and this cent has excellent eye appeal. However a glass reveals traces of crud nestled into protected places around the devices and there are some light scratches right of the N in CENT where some crud was removed. M-LDS. There is a small but strong rim cud break over star 6 and the upper dash right of the 6 is gone, but the die crack down from the dentils at star 9 has not formed. A nice cent that may benefit from a proper bath. Our grade is AU55. PCGS population for the N-1 variety is 1 with 3 finer: 1 in 64+, 2 in 65. PCGS #1645. Estimated Value $700 - UP
Ex Harry Laibstain Rare Coins-Bob Willoughby Collection.
