1817 N-16 R1 15-Star Obverse PCGS graded AU53, CAC Approved. Choice frosty medium chocolate brown and steel with a bit of lighter brown toning at stars 10-12. Satiny luster shows in protected areas and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. EDS. The dash to the right of the top of the F in OF is clear and there is no cud break over AM. Nicely struck with crisp dentils around both sides, but there is some minor weakness on the hair buns, as usual on this variety. Our grade is EF40+. The 15-Star feature is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population for the variety 5 with 10 finer. PCGS #1597. Estimated Value $1,250 - UP
