1808 S-278 R3 PCGS graded XF45. Frosty golden tan and light brown with darker steel brown and olive toning on the highpoints. Flowline luster shows in the protected areas, especially on the reverse, and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The notable marks are a spot of fine carbon on the rim just left of the date and some nicks at stars 5-7. MDS, Breen state II, with fine flowlines in the fields and dentils around most of the obverse. Our grade is VF35. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36460. Pop 2; 13 graded higher at PCGS for the variety, 12 in MSBN, 1 in MSRB. Estimated Value $2,000 - UP
