1798 S-179 R2 Small 8, Style II Hair PCGS XF Detail Corrosion Removed. Glossy steel and light olive brown. Lightly cleaned and nicely retoned with extremely faint hairlines in the obverse fields. There is a small patch of fine porosity in the field left of the L in LIBERTY; otherwise only minor contact marks of no significance. MDS, Breen state II, with die clashmarks on both sides and a die line down from the right foot of the I in LIBERTY. Sharply struck slightly off center to K-7. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF25. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36104. Estimated Value $400 - UP
