Lot 379

1793 S-13 R4- Liberty Cap PCGS graded AG3. Glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate. Possibly lightly cleaned long ago but the toning is attractive and looks natural. The surfaces are perfectly smooth and the eye appeal is quite nice for a well-worn cent. The only notable marks are a faint diagonal streak of darker toning from the eye to the lower curls, a pair of tiny spots of darker toning near the rim right of the Y in LIBERTY, and a tiny rim nick over the left side of that L. The date is easily readable and LIBERTY is strong, but most of the legend on the reverse is weak. Our grade is AG3. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 13 finer. PCGS #35489. Estimated Value $3,000 - UP
From the Bob Willoughby Collection.

Realized $5,520
