Lot 364

1811 C-1 R4 PCGS graded VF35, CAC Approved. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The surfaces are smooth and this half cent has outstanding eye appeal. Essentially flawless, just lightly and evenly worn. An incipient planchet clip off the end of the bust can help identify this piece, but it is barely visible. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks on the obverse. The obverse is slightly misaligned to K-9 while the reverse is centered on the planchet. A premium mid-grade example of this tough date. Our grade is VF20. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer: 1 in 40, 1 in 55, 1 in 58. PCGS #35239. Estimated Value $750 - UP
From the Bob Willoughby Collection.
