Lot 232

1833 N-5 R1 NGC graded MS63 Brown. Lustrous medium brown and light olive with slightly darker toning shows on the lower right part of the reverse. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has mint state eye appeal in spite of a hint of rub on the highest points of the portrait. A small puff of darker toning right of star 13 and a light rim nick right of star 10 are the only notable marks, and neither is significant. M-LDS. There are die cracks on both sides and the repunching at ICA in AMERICA is weak. Our grade is AU58. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Estimated Value $700 - UP
Ex Chris McCawley 5/3/2019-Chuck Hall Collection.
