Lot 1387

1903. PCGS graded Proof 66 Cameo. CAC. PQ. A flashy cameo proof with lovely rich golden toning and a splash of vibrant sunshine gold in the left obverse field. Liberty's face and neck and exceptionally clean and free of marks. The strike is bold and precise as expected for the proof gold coin. The preservation is where this one really shines, with no signs of handling or abuse, and a perfect sparkling jewel to represent the Coronet or Liberty gold series. Rarely are these found so original and with CAC approval at this lofty grade, so don't miss out if you have been seeking a really high end gem proof of this series. A numismatic delight! Only 154 struck. Pop 2; 4 finer for PRCA, 2 in 67, 2 in 67+. (PCGS # 88498) Estimated Value $40,000 - UP
