Lot 1340

1846-O. PCGS graded MS-61. Mostly untoned with some luster visible in the fields. The strike is fairly sharp with just a touch of softness on the upper curl atop Liberty's ear. The surfaces show a few shallow and widely scattered bag marks as expected for the grade. This is a tough condition rarity at this lofty grade and as such a coin that would make an excellent purchase for the advanced New Orleans specialist. Only 62,000 struck, and this piece is one of the very finest around. Pop 12; 8 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7743) Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500

Unsold
