Lot 1333

1805. PCGS graded AU-53. The holder is scratched as is often the case when these PCGS get to over 25 years old or so, depending on how they are handled. The coin inside is outstanding though, with rich coppery gold color, a bold strike and splendid surfaces. This is one of the toughest type coins to find nice, as so few survived of the Capped Bust, Heraldic Eagle design. Reflective fields. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Only 1,781 struck, with 100 to 150 examples estimated to have survived according to PCGS Pop Report (PCGS # 7653) Estimated Value $12,500 - UP

Realized $20,400
